In early 2011 „The Great Faults” recorded their first demo in Stockholm. Three months after their formation the band followed an invitation of their friend Stephan Bjöling, at the time bass player of the swedish band „Chikan” (my favourite toy records), to record a couple of songs in his studio. To this day those recordings can not be found on streaming services and only a limited number of 100 physical copies exists.
Since then the Band has been constantly releasing official LPs and EPs.
In 2020 they published a self produced documentary. This movie presents the bands constant creative output in different creative fields while following a DIY-ethos and explains what and who „The Great Faults – Die großartigen Fehler” are.
To the physical copies of their 2022 record „Soultwist” the band added a personal diary, sharing intimate thoughts on the creative process behind making the record with their fans.
The fifth LP „Steady Yours” was released in January 2026, both on Vinyl and through streaming services. The release was added by a full live performance of the album which is available on youtube.
The band’s music videos have been self written, directed, edited and cut since the very beginning. These videos live DIY and add short stories to the songs.
